Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Wow!  What a great first week of school!
We are getting to know each other and learning the Kindie routine.
It's been busy, noisy and a lot of fun.
Here are some of the highlights from the first week!

We were delighted to see "old friends".

We held the guinea pig and he didn't bite anyone!

We work on the Daily Five every day!
We did lots of "hands on" activities.

We worked hard and played hard!
We talked about our goals for the year!
We welcomed new friends to our school!

We discussed our Kindie Mission Statement!

We played outside!

We got really sweaty and hot!

We gave the first day a "thumbs up".

.
We made edible Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Trees

We made brand new friends!
We read Junie B Jones.

We sampled fresh coconut and used our senses to describe it.

We smiled a lot and gave lots of hugs!

We made Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tress in art!

"Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.  We're so glad you're in our room!

  3. Thank you Tonia!
I put velcro on the back of all my "puppets". Sometimes I use them on flannel boards and sometimes I attach them to tongue depressors so the children can hold them and use them to act out stories and fingerplays.

    Thanks for stopping by!
